Billing and Revenue Operations Manager

LOCATION: Atlanta, Georgia


As the Billing and Revenue Operations Manager, you will oversee the billing, collections and cash applications processes. Reporting into the VP of Finance, you will initially manage one other team member. In this role, you act as the subject matter expert for all things related to customer billings. It is your goal to continually optimize the efficiency of the billing team by automating manual processes, leveraging systems and coaching your team. This is a deadline driven role in our accounting team. The ideal candidate will have experience managing a billing team that is responsible for billing large volumes of transactions with a high level of accuracy. You are a problem solver who thrives off a fast-paced environment where new customers, business verticals and operational processes are being introduced every day.


  • Review structure of Billing Operations team with the VP of finance and provide feedback on resource requirements and structure.
  • Own all Accounts Receivable processes to ensure efficient and timely cash collections from customers. Review and approve all sales orders. Review draft and executed contracts for billing issues, provide feedback to sales, legal, finance and other stakeholders as needed. Manage all customer billing, including but not limited to subscription fees and professional services.
  • Manage customer interactions related to billing, including preparing any billing setups or customer compliance forms, responding to customer billing questions or escalations and following up with accounts with past due balances.
  • Work collaboratively across departments (Engineering, product, legal, customer operations, sales operations, etc.) to continuously improve billing, collections, and reporting processes for efficiency, scalability and customer experience.
  • Analyze, review & approve month-end and quarter-end accounting close entries and reconciliations. Prepare month-end billing reports and analysis for management.
  • Develop, implement and maintain desktop procedures for billing operations.
  • Support accounting teams commitment to a timely and accurate processing of accounting transactions in accordance with US GAAP and the Company’s internal controls.
  • Assist with external financial and other due diligence requests.
  • Perform other special projects and analyses as directed by management.


  • Bachelors Degree (preferred in Business, Accounting, or Finance).
  • 2 to 4 years of progressive billing operations experience.
  • Advanced computer skills especially in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience establishing and optimizing reporting processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including excellent written, oral, listening and presentational skills and ability to work well under pressure and interact at all levels are also required.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with limited supervision.
