On Friday, September 21, 2012, more than 1,000 Lee County community and business leaders gathered for the annual Horizon Council Industry Appreciation Awards luncheon. This celebration is part of Florida’s week-long  awareness of how industries boost the state’s economy and improve quality of life. Local awards are given each year to companies that not only bring capital investment and primary employment to the county, but that are also pioneers committed to developing products and services that improve lives. Winners are selected through an anonymous judging process from a list of nominees.

dESCO was honored this year with the IT Industry Appreciation Award for our industry leadership, product innovation and community spirit. Dean E. Schreiner accepted the award on behalf of the dESCO team, during this prestigious event.

“We are very pleased to receive this award as we are truly proud of our history of superior products that over 6,000 service companies rely on today,” said Dean E. Schreiner, dESCO President. Since our inception in 1980, dESCO has been at the forefront of new technologies and innovation to keep pace with evolving customer needs. Leading the competition, we were the first to release a mobile service management app giving customers access to important tools needed for a mobile workforce. ESC, our flagship product, continues to rank number one among service professionals as the management tool of choice to track customers, dispatches, finances, service agreements, inventory, service history, technicians & more. We credit our success to hiring the right people, giving customers the very best support, making sound business decisions, and being flexible to take advantage of current times and technologies.

“We also make giving back to the industry and community an integral part of our business model,” added Dean. dESCO has most recently been involved with the Joseph S. Groh Foundation (which provides financial assistance to disabled workers and their families from the construction trades industry), Habitat for Humanity (that helps build and rehab affordable safe homes for those in need) , United Way (dedicated to improving the quality of life for all people), among others.

dESCO is honored to be recognized by the Horizon Council, not only for our innovative solutions, but for our commitment to being a positive part of the communities where we do business. We look forward to bringing more big things to Lee County and continuing to develop the very best software solutions for the service industries.
